Chapter 1 Book Club

Have you ever wanted to join a book club?  Now is a good time to try one out!  Join us on Thursday, November 8, from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Pearl Public Library.   Call 932-2562 to check on availability of copies and to get directions.

You don't have to live in Pearl to attend.  No matter where you live we would love to have you join us.

This is a free cooking demonstration with Mrs. Fran Thomas who recently traveled to Tuscany, Italy where she took cooking classes. Mrs. Thomas will be preparing an entree’ and dessert along with Mrs. Dee Payne and Ms. Tammy Moudy. Mrs. Thomas will also tell about her travels to the region.

Pearl Library's October Brown Bag: Medicare Help!

 Please join the Pearl Library this Friday, October 26th, at 12:00 p.m. for our monthly Brown Bag Luncheon. Humana representative Josh Errington will be here to discuss Medicare with you. He can answer any questions you might have and let you know about upcoming changes to the system.

 We hope you'll join us! Bring a sack lunch with you. The Friends of the library will provide a dessert, some drinks, and coffee. We'll be waiting for you in the meeting room! And don't forget, we always give away a few door prizes. See you Friday!

September Football Challenge Winner

Congratulations to Jasmin, the winner of the Pearl Public Library September football challenge! Jasmin won a fun tailgating package full of snacks and drinks, and all she had to do was fill out her name and tell the reference staff which football team she likes.

Chapter One Book Club @ Pearl

 

For this month's Chapter One Book Club, the theme is SCARY books. Anything that puts a CHILL down your spine or makes the hairs on your neck stand up will work! The book club begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 11. There will be snacks, door prizes, and great company.

Simply Crafts @ Pearl

Trick or Treat!

Treat yourself to a Halloween-themed Simply Crafts night this Tuesday, October 9 @ the Pearl Public Library. We will be making a lantern of your choice: cute, Halloween-y or a silly mummy similar to the ones pictured above. These lanterns are really nice when they're lit. They're made out of mason jars, assorted tissue, and Mod-Podge. The fun starts @ 6 p.m. and free to the public with all materials provided. Come out and make something with us!
