Bethany May | Shelver | G. Chastaine Flynt Memorial Library (Flowood)
Bethany recently joined the CMRLS team, and we are so happy to have her at our Flowood branch!
Here's more from Bethany:
1. What is your favorite part of working in the library?
I am the type of person who thrives off of organization, and I truly love being able to use that so much here in the library.
2. Was there a book that made you love reading?
I’ve been a huge reader my whole life, but a few years ago I read House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, which really changed how I read. It’s formatted in a very chaotic and nonlinear way and I had never read a story like it before. It was a truly incredible experience to read!
3. Tell us one e-resource you wish more people knew about.
I think Hoopla is a wonderful e-resource! I am a big e-book reader, so being able to use that has been a huge help! Find out all about it at https://www.hoopladigital.com/, and all you need is your library card!
4. What do you like to do when you're not at the library?
I do a lot of baking (cakes, pastries, pies) and spend a lot of time with my family.
5. What is your idea of the perfect vacation?
Any place where I can do a lot of swimming and a lot of antique shopping. Good food is a must for a good vacation as well!
6. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas!
